The Hellenic Age is characterized
by the Macedonian rule. Alexander the Great could have extended his Empire
until the India if many young soldiers would have not died in Babylon.
The following power struggles for succession of the Empire finish with the division of the
territory into different states. However, they could not stand the
pressure from the west when the Romans increasingly began to move forward
to the East and finally took all Greece as a province of Macedonia.
