Priapos is the son of Dionysos
and the nymph Chione or
Aphrodite. He could be also a son of Hermes,
as you can see there is no final decision. He was the god of fertility and raised up
in the city of Lampsakos. Its said that he was
also the founder of this city. He also got adore as the god of the flora
and the sexual desire.
He
had a enormous penis with which he could logically
reproduce himself but also punish. The penis personify him as the
